1. Who we are

Ridiculous Facts for Quiz Nights ("the service", "we", "us") is run by Stephen Bown, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. When you use the service or buy a membership, your agreement is with Stephen Bown.

2. Accepting these terms

By creating an account or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. You must be at least 18, or have the authority to accept these terms for the organisation you represent.

3. What the service is

We publish a fresh round of 10 trivia questions every day, with short answers and backstories, for pub quiz hosts. One fact a day is free to everyone. A paid Quiz Host Membership unlocks every daily round, the full archive and print-ready sheets.

Questions are written with the help of AI tools and checked as best we can, but facts can occasionally be wrong or out of date. Please double-check anything critical before using it at your quiz.

4. Your account

Keep your login details private. You are responsible for everything done through your account. Please give us accurate information and keep your email address up to date.

5. Using the service fairly

You must not:

• use the service for anything unlawful, fraudulent or for sending spam;
• infringe anyone's intellectual property;
• interfere with the service's security, including uploading malware, probing for weaknesses, or scraping or bulk-downloading content by automated means;
• resell, republish or redistribute the question database, or share your membership login with others. You may read out, print and use questions at quiz nights you host.

6. Ownership

Stephen Bown owns the service and everything in it, including the software, question database, text, design and branding. Your membership gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the content for running your own quizzes while your membership is active.

7. Payments, renewals and cancellation

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

The Quiz Host Membership costs £8 per month and renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your Account page; you keep access until the end of the month you've paid for. 8. Availability

We work hard to keep the service running and to publish a new round every day, but we can't promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Suspending or ending access

We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, don't pay, or if your use poses a security or fraud risk. You can stop using the service and close your account at any time. When an account is closed we delete its personal data as described in our Privacy Notice.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is" without implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or goodwill. Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is significant we'll let members know by email before it takes effect.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts of England and Wales.
